A fire broke out at a seven-story residential building unnoticed by its residents in Baoding City, north China's Hebei Province.

Video footage shows plumes of smoke billowing into the sky.

Six middle school students in the area rushed into the building and helped evacuate residents after calling the fire department.

The fire was extinguished and no one was injured.
