Chinese President Xi Jinping on Thursday sent a congratulatory letter to the 2019 Zhongguancun Forum (ZGC Forum), which is held in Beijing, hailing China's willingness to take an active part in global innovation cooperation, share with the world's latest technological development, and jointly build a community with a shared future for humanity.

In the letter, Xi Jinping pointed out that as the world embraces an accelerating new round of sci-tech revolution and industrial transformation, innovation, development and cooperation with win-win results have become an inevitable trend.

In building the world's leading sci-tech park and innovation center, Zhongguancun founded the ZGC Forum in 2007 as a platform for countries from all over the world to discuss frontier innovation-driven development, future industrial development trends, global innovation rules and innovative governance, Xi said.

Since then, the forum has become an open venue for global scientific and technological figures to boost innovation and entrepreneurship.

President Xi hoped the participants of the forum would carry out in-depth discussions and exchanges to enhance mutual understanding and boost cooperation, so that scientific and technological innovation can better serve the aspiration of the people all over the world for a better life. The Chinese president also expected the forum to make positive contributions to the world's scientific and technological development.

Themed "Cutting-edge Technology and Future Industries," this year's ZGC Forum is held at Zhongguancun Science Park in Beijing October 16-18, drawing over 1,200 business, finance and academic figures of various industries and sectors from home and abroad.
