On the Road: Xi Jinping strengthens CPC leadership, Party building

To celebrate the 70th anniversary of the founding of the People's Republic of China (PRC) and present a panoramic view of the country's great journey, the 24-episode documentary "On the Road" has been released with focus on the great achievements and valuable experiences of the people of all ethnic groups in the socialist revolution, construction and reform over the past 70 years.

The sixteenth episode elaborates on endeavors to strengthen leadership of the Communist Party of China (CPC) and measures taken in enhancing the Party building in the new era.

The CPC's 19th National Congress, in setting out the tasks for Party building in the new era, made it clear that in every aspect, it must be guided by the party's political makeup.

In the path to enhance the Party's building, fighting against corruption is one of the major tasks.

The CPC Central Committee with Comrade Xi Jinping at the core is unflinching in its fight against "tigers," "flies," and "foxes," and has achieved an overwhelming victory in the fight against corruption.

"If we don't offend thousands of the corrupt, we'll offend 1.3 billion Chinese people," Xi pointed out.

Through a total of 12 rounds starting in May 2013, inspections for the first time covered the entire Party within a single term of the Central Committee.

"The CPC is the world's biggest political party. That gives it certain attributes," Xi said. "Practice proves that the CPC can lead the people in a great socialist revolution and carry out a great self-revolution."
