At least 62 worshipers were killed and more than 33 injured in a bomb attack during Friday prayers at a mosque.
The attack was the year's second most deadly to date. It took place in the eastern province of Nangarhar and also wounded at least 33 people, the provincial governor's spokesman Attaullah Khogyani said.
No one immediately claimed responsibility for the attack, but both the Taliban and the ISIL group are active in eastern Afghanistan, especially Nangarhar province.
