Samarkand, stands at the crossroads of the Great Silk Road. It has preserved the culture, art and unique architecture of ancient world civilizations. This year, between August 25th and 30th, one of the biggest music festival in Central Asia, Sharq Taronalari, was held at the Registan Square of Samarkand. CGTN Ji Xiaojun and Louisa Lee joined the festival and interviewed performers at the festival.
