The 6th World Internet Conference in eastern China's Jiaxing city covered cutting-edge topics, such as artificial intelligence, 5G and industrial digitalization.

The application of 5G technology in pig farming industry received special attention at the conference. Technologies such as intelligent breeding, pig facial recognition, inspection robots and automatic feeding robots could reduce the cost per pig by 80 yuan (11.3 U.S. dollars). There are about 700 million pigs in China, which means the application of new technologies can save 50 billion yuan (7 billion U.S. dollars) for the country's pig industry.

With the advantage of super-high speeds and low delay, 5G technologies give wings to traditional industries like the pig farming industry.
