Themed "Maintaining International Order and Promoting Peace in the Asia-Pacific Region", the 9th Beijing Xiangshan Forum was held in Beijing From October 20 to 22. Senior Colonel Zhou Bo from the Ministry of National Defense of the PRC pointed out that to create a balance, this year's forum talks about not only the major power relationship but also the interest of medium power and small states.

"If we look at the last 40 years, we can clearly see that China's overall strength, including military strength, has been rising, but China hasn't shot at anybody", Zhou said. In other words, China has become strong in the past 40 years, but it hasn't used its increased strength against anybody. Therefore, the fallacy of China threat is nonsense.
