A red squirrel soared through the air while hunting for food in the Scottish Highland.
The bushy-tailed animal stretched out its paws as it leapt five feet across tree branches to grab at nuts.
The rodent was one of a handful of squirrels daring enough to make the jump from the trees to reach the feast.
While other places have witnessed the red squirrel's population decline, Scotland has been able to keep a stable population of the squirrels.
