It has been two days since the Detroit Lions sent Quandre Diggs to the Seattle Seahawks, but Lions cornerback Darius Slay still cannot let it go. He does not understand why they did that and what it means for the rest of the players.

"No matter how much you put in, at the end of the day it's a business. So, that's how I just look at it. Nobody's safe, in my opinion," said Slay, according to ESPN.

Slay has reasons to get emotional about Diggs being sent away. Since he was selected by the Lions in the 2015 NFL Draft, Diggs was named Pro-Bowl twice, started every game he was available since the 2018 season and just signed a contract extension only one year ago.

When asked if he will stay with the Lions, Slay, who was also a two-time Pro-Bowl player, replied, "Do I want to? Be where else? I'm saying I'm here to play ball. Like I said, it don't matter if I'm here or not. That's what I want to do. I just want to play ball. It don't matter where I'm at, I just want to play ball. It don't matter. That's it."

Having claimed 16 tackles, defended three passes, a fumble recovery and an interception so far this season, Slay helped the Lions win three games. He also tweeted that he loves the state of Michigan. However, he admitted that he was hurt by the cruel trades in the league.

"Anybody can go. So, that's it. You know, at the end of the day, I just see it as there's no loyalty to nothing. No matter how much you put in, they feel like it's a little different, they can get rid of you."
