Thursday marks the Frost Descent on the Chinese lunar calendar. It represents a transition from autumn to winter. As the temperature declines, leaves on mountains in north China's Shanxi Province have changed their colors to yellow, orange and red, presenting the best view of the year in the area. Such colorful scenes have also been seen in the cities of Linfen, Changzhi and Yuncheng in the province.
