China Media Group (CMG) program "2019 Silk Road: Journey to Xinjiang" started on October 21, 2019 in Urumqi City, capital of northwest China's Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region. The program is a multi-media joint interview event, and media team members are journalists from Russia, Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, and Tajikistan, as well as CMG's journalists and cameramen. Changji Hui Autonomous Prefecture, about 30 km west of Urumqi City, was the first leg of the reporting mission. The team did interviews and filming in Jimsar County, Qitai County, and Mulei County in the prefecture for three days. Click the video for more details.
