At least five people were killed and one injured on Saturday in a coal mine accident in Gulin County, southwest China's Sichuan Province, local authorities said.

The incident occurred at around 10:37 a.m. BJT when a ceiling collapsed, leaving a total of seven people trapped.

As of 7:00 p.m. BJT on Saturday, five bodies were found and the injured person was sent to the hospital.
