CSL: SIPG smash Dalian to get close to leaders Guangzhou Evergrande

Shanghai SIPG smashed Dalian Yifang 3-0 to narrow the margin to only one point away from the league leaders Guangzhou Evergrande who tied Henan Jianye 2-2 in the 27th round of the Chinese Super League (CSL) on Sunday.

Li Shenglong broke the deadlock for Shanghai SIPG in the 13th minute before Dalian Yifang's Zhou Ting committed an own goal on 26 minutes. Brazilian winger Oscar sealed the win in stoppage time.

Guangzhou Evergrande lost two goals in the first half, but equalized through Brazilian Paulinho's penalty kick in the 46th minute and Wei Shihao's header eight minutes later.

Guangzhou Evergrand now sit on top of the table with 63 points, one point more than Shanghai SIPG and two points more than Beijing Guoan with 3 rounds left.

Elsewhere on Sunday, Tianjin Tianhai tied Beijing Renhe 2-2, while Shandong Luneng and Jiangsu Suning ended in a 1-1 draw.
