China's first four-seater electric aircraft makes maiden flight

China's first self-developed four-seater electric aircraft, the RX4E, conducted a successful maiden flight on Monday in the northeastern Chinese city of Shenyang.

Developed by Liaoning General Aviation Academy (LGAA), the 1,200-kilogram aircraft is 8.4 meters long with a wingspan of 13.5 meters. It has a range of 300 kilometers and can fly for about one and a half hours in a single flight.
