Chinese President Xi Jinping Tuesday offered his congratulations on the 15th anniversary of Cambodian King Norodom Sihamoni's coronation, calling for joint efforts to build a community with shared future. 

In his congratulatory message, Xi noted since the accession, King Sihamoni has made important contributions to safeguarding national unity and promoting the development of the country, and is deeply loved by Cambodians. 

Over the past 60 years since the establishment of diplomatic relations between two countries, the two peoples have stuck together like passengers on the same boat, helping each other and building a profound friendship, he added. 

The Chinese president also said he is willing to work with King Sihamoni to inherit the traditional friendship between China and Cambodia, improve the level of strategic cooperation, and promote bilateral ties to achieve new results, so as to benefit the two countries and their people.
