In order to get a head start on Halloween, U.S. President Donald Trump and first lady Melania Trump have handed out candy to kids at the White House. The event included hundreds of military families and local schoolchildren who received their gifts one by one. Some of them dressed up as astronauts or pirates while others donned costumes of superheroes and dinosaurs. To set the mood, the White House was decorated with enchanted trees and pumpkins lined the staircases.
