Two people were found dead and nine remain trapped after a roof collapsed at a polymetallic mine, local authorities confirmed. The incident happened at around 18:30 on Monday, when the roof of a local mining company caved in at an ore field in Daping Village of Nandan County. Rescuers are prioritizing tasks such as ventilating the area, inspecting it for harmful gases, and strengthening the collapsed tunnel to prevent secondary disasters.
