Some 54 countries have jointly voiced their support for China's counter-terrorism and de-radicalization measures in its Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region at a UN session. Representatives at the Humanitarian Committee spoke positively on China's efforts in safeguarding the human rights of the people in the region. A Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesperson said their statements reversed some Western countries' smear on China.
