China's Foreign Ministry said on Thursday that it hopes the U.S. will stop unreasonably suppressing Chinese companies operating in the U.S. market to provide a fair, just and non-discriminatory business environment.

Ministry spokesman Geng Shuang made the remarks at a daily news briefing on Thursday after reports of Chinese drone maker DJI said the U.S. Department of Interior had grounded all Chinese-made or part-made drones as part of a review of its entire drone program.

Geng also said Washington should stop abusing the concept of national security and promoting the China threat theory.
