Iraqi President Barham Salih said on Thursday at a press conference that Prime Minster Adel Abdul Mahdi has agreed to resign following deadly protests in the country on condition it doesn't leave a leadership vacuum.
The president also vowed to hold early parliamentary elections once a new law is passed.
