Nineteen people were killed and 22 others were injured when a truck carrying passengers fell into a ravine in northern Philippine's Apayao province on Thursday, police said.

Initial investigation suggests that the driver lost control of the vehicle on a slippery road, veering off the road and plunging into the ravine, said the police.
