China builds 115 bridges along Yibin-Shanghai section of Yangtze River

The China International Bridge Industry Expo is being held in the city of Wuhan on November 2. The three-day bridge expo showcases 115 bridges that have completed construction and 28 bridges that are still under construction. Liu Ziming, chairman of the China Railway Major Bridge Engineering Group Co. ltd. (MBEC), stated that "Take the bridge span as an example, more than half of the world's top 10 suspension bridges, cable-stayed bridges or long span arch bridges were built by China. After several decades of development, China's bridge construction technology has reached an advanced level in the world, especially in the past 10 years."

The bridge expo is highlighting the latest material and cutting-edge technology, including bridge health monitoring systems, smart bridge inspection and maintenance systems, and multifunctional smart anti-seismic viscous dampers.
