Chinese President Xi Jinping says the country's democratic society is reflected in many ways. The country has been practicing a system of socialism with Chinese characteristics and that legislation was based on legal procedures and discussions, as well as scientific and democratic decision-making. Xi spoke during a visit to a community center in Shanghai where locals are making proposals for a draft bill.
