Chinese president Xi Jinping has stressed the importance of building the country's modern economic system. Xi was speaking during an inspection tour of China's commercial capital Shanghai. He emphasized the implementation of new development concepts, speeding up reform and opening up, and the development of the Yangtze river delta. He also talked about the need to improve Shanghai's governance.
