With star players like Zhu and Marshevet Hooker, Tianjin are considered one of the strongest teams this season and but they faced a bit of early hiccups soon after the start of the game. Henan's youngsters came well-prepared as their strong serves and solid defense gave them a 3-1 lead. However, the star-studded Tianjin side, who finished runners-up last season, tied it up at 6 with a solid block.
Zhu then regained her sublime touches and hammered a slew of powerful strike to help Tianjin win the first set 25-17. A light touch from Hooker early in the second and with Zhu and Li Yingying pounding spikes, Tianjin wrapped up the second set 25-18.
Zhu was rested in the third set but still Tianjin could go on to grab it 25-19 to accomplish an emphatic victory and a strong start to the season.
Zhu later said, "I believe our coach has his own plan to arrange our time on the court. He may want the young players to play more and accumulate experience. As for my new teammates, they all have their own advantages and I can learn a lot from them."
