Over 3,500 migratory birds flock to SW China lake

With the arrival of winter, over 3,500 migratory birds from Eurasia flocked to Guyu Lake in Longchang City. The birds, including little grebes and little egrets, could be seen foraging on the bank, swimming in the lake, or flying over the water. It is estimated that more than 5 million birds of over 140 species will arrive at Guyu Lake this year or continue their journey after stopping over for about two months.
