China has officially started research on 6G telecommunications technology, it was announced on Friday. The statement was made by the Ministry of Science and Technology, the National Development and Reform Commission, the Ministry of Education, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, the Chinese Academy of Sciences and the National Natural Science Foundation of China.

A group of experts, as well as a research and development promotion group have been formed. The expert group includes 37 people from universities, scientific research institutes and enterprises.
