Standing in northwest China's Shaanxi Provincen are the Qinling Mountains, which have been referred to as a "dragon vein" throughout history in China.
It has long been home to precious animals like the golden snub-nosed monkey and the crested ibis, as well as endemic plant species like the China larch.
