Lam condemned what she called relentless destruction to society. She said hurting innocent people would not help the cause of protesters. She confirmed that two people are in critical condition. The first person was shot by a police officer, while the second member of the public was set on fire by a black-clad protester. Lam said the escalating violence will not make government yield to pressure.
