CGTN

In Zaozhuang City, east China's Shandong Province, clusters of red persimmons are ready for harvest just before winter.

Persimmon is an edible fruit from several species of trees that belong to the Diospyros genes. Cultivated in different areas with different flavors and colors, the Asian persimmon is famous for it's sweet and soft pulp. Native to Japan, China, and Korea, the Asian persimmon is a commercially important fruit in the winter and it's used in other delicious products, like the dried persimmon cake.
