China and DPRK to boost regional cooperation

China and the Democratic People's Republic of Korea (DPRK) share a lengthy border stretching over 1,400 km long, and runs along three of China's provinces – Liaoning, Jilin and Heilongjiang. Very recently, a delegation team led by Chen Qiufa, Liaoning Province's Party chief recently wrapped up a four-day visit to the DPRK.

During his visit relevant parties from the DPRK agreed to boost cooperation with Liaoning Province in areas such as cross-border trade, people-to-people exchanges, agriculture program, social development, and tourism.
