Millennium ginkgo trees: The golden yellow of autumn
By Wan Hailun

In late autumn and early winter, ginkgo trees start to turn golden yellow. As wind blows off the ginkgo leaves, the roads seem like covered with a "yellow carpet."

Ginkgo trees, original from China, were first found in fossils dated 270 million years ago. As the only living species in the Ginkgophyta family, the trees were widely cultivated in early history. Therefore, there are lots of ginkgo trees that are hundreds of years old. Let's enjoy some of the beautiful millennium ginkgo trees in China.
