"Folha de S.Paulo," which has the highest circulation among the Brazilian newspapers, published an interview of Shen Haixiong, president of China Media Group (CMG), on Tuesday, which was entitled "Coverage about Hong Kong far from true."
In the interview, the CMG president slammed the Western media for not reporting facts on the Hong Kong situation, and termed their coverage far from the truth.
Per the article, the CMG is regarded as the world's largest media group. Its president Shen said in Sao Paulo on November 11 that the current situation in Hong Kong should be regarded as a terrorist movement, not a procession.
Shen criticized the Western media reports, saying what they reported was not what happened on the Chinese territory. "The media in the Western world, especially the American media, only select a part of the situation, which is far from the truth," said Shen, adding that "even their president Trump does not believe the reports of some American media."

"In other words, I want to tell the facts that are happening in Hong Kong. Those extreme actions are indeed terrorist acts," he said. On the weekend, a demonstrator was shot and wounded. On the other hand, a man who wanted to speak to the demonstrators was burned with oil.
He also mentioned that he used to be a journalist. Shen worked in Xinhua News Agency for many years. He believed that some of north American media organizations are lack of professionalism because they need to report the facts first.
On Monday, the CMG signed a cooperation agreement with Brazil's Grupo Bandeirantes de Comunicacao in Sao Paulo. The agreement mainly includes sharing of content and news resources, in-depth cooperation in program exchange and co-production.

Shen noted that the current cooperation is still at the level of media cooperation, rather than seeking business opportunities in the media field. "At the moment we are not planning to invest in media organizations in Brazil," he said.
According to the memorandum, three programs that will be aired on the various platforms of the Grupo Bandeirantes are a daily broadcast program "Chinese Story" – a five-to-ten-minute news show hosted by the anchors from the CMG and the Grupo Bandeirantes, 24-episode documentary series "On the Great Road" and " Xi Jinping's Classical Literary Quotes."
The executive said that the overall goal of the CMG is to "build an international media organization," focusing on the use of new technologies in video, as he mentioned, 8K, 5G and artificial intelligence, as well as distribution on social networks.
