Live: Hong Kong police hold news conference on continuing protests

Protesters have been building barricades to block multiple roads with bricks and large objects. They even threatened to hurl petrol bombs at all vehicles passing by, seriously paralyzing traffic and threatening the safety of the public. Hong Kong police warn the protesters to stop all illegal acts and appeal to the public to avoid travelling to the affected areas.

In addition, the Hong Kong education bureau announced yesterday all schools would be closed starting November 14 for transport and safety reasons. The announcement came after a night of chaos on several university campuses. Meanwhile, some universities in Hong Kong have decided to cancel classes for the rest of the fall semester and are considering moving the classes online.
