The Northern Taurids meteor shower reached a climax last night in northwest China's Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region.
The Taurids is a meteor shower occurring annually and comprises of northern and southern components. The phenomenon usually occurs from late October to early November. The meteor shower takes its name from the constellation Taurus, from which it appears to originate.
