At least 5 killed in east China apartment fire

At least five people were killed and three others injured in a residential fire early Friday in east China's Anhui Province, local authorities said.
The fire started at around 6:57 a.m. local time and was extinguished at around 7:50 a.m., authorities said.
An investigation into the incident is underway.
