38,000 runners compete in the Shanghai International Marathon

Shanghai International Marathon kicked off in the Bund, the most popular location in east China's Shanghai early on Sunday, with a total of 38,000 runners from 85 countries and regions participating the event. /VCG Photo

About 25,000 people took part in the 42.2-kilometer sports event, while 6,000 participated in the 10km race and 7,000 in the 5.5km mini-run. /VCG Photo
