One bubonic plague case has been confirmed in Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region on Saturday, and health authorities have said they are unrelated to the previous two cases diagnosed in Beijing on Tuesday. Those were of the pneumonic type, they explained.

The patient has been isolated in a hospital at Huade County in Ulanqab, and relevant prevention and control measures have been implemented.
