Archaeologists discovered four tombs belonging to nobles in Liujiawa Village, northwest China's Shaanxi Province, dating back to the Eastern Zhou Dynasty (770-256 B.C.). The tombs held large quantities of burial objects. At a tomb coded No. 4, archaeologists excavated bronze and jade wares as well as accessories. East No. 2 Zone, where the four tombs were found, was brought to light in 2019. The entire excavation site was discovered in 2018, and was listed as one of China's top 10 archaeological discoveries of the year.
