Video footage captured families and school staff members persuading teenage protesters to leave Hong Kong Polytechnic University on Monday. The Hong Kong police said that till Tuesday afternoon, they had arrested and registered around 1,100 people in and around the university. Teenagers under 18 were allowed to leave after registration without being arrested.
