Six flamingo birds visit the salt lakes in N China
CGTN

Recently, six flamingos were seen in the salt lake area of Yuncheng City in north China's Shanxi Province, attracting a lot of photographers hoping to catch the best moment of their activities. China is not a distribution area of flamingos, but sometimes small flocks of flamingos can be seen visiting some wetlands.

The flamingo is a type of wading bird. It gets its name from the word "flame-colored" in Portuguese and Spanish as the flamingo's color is reddish. It usually lives in salt lakes and wetlands so it can get enough brine shrimps, algae and insect larvae for food.
