Covering an area of nearly 25,000 square kilometers, the Bayanbulak grassland is the second largest grassland in China. It lies in Hejing County of Bayingolin Mongol Autonomous Prefecture in northwestern Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region.

The name "Bayanbulak" means "abundant springs" in Mongolian. The grassland is one of the most important livestock breeding centers in Xinjiang.
