A 5.8-magnitude earthquake struck the Thailand-Laos border at a depth of 10 kilometers, said the China Earthquake Networks Center on Thursday.

The United States Geological Survey recorded the magnitude at 6.1.

There were no immediate reports of casualties or damages.

Tremors were felt in Bangkok, capital of Thailand, and nearby countries.
