Beijing Olympic gold medalist Pang Wei secured the gold medal in the men's 10m air pistol final at the ISSF World Cup Final in Putian, southeast China's Fujian Province on Thursday.

Pang Wei scored 243.7 points, two ahead of runner-up Park Daehun of South Korea. Artem Chernousov of Russia was third.

"The last shot was a bit stretched," Pang said. "I got a bit distracted with the thought of managing to break the record. My confidence has been boosted thanks to the gold medal. I will now prepare for the Olympics from all aspects."
