International relations analysts have condemned the U.S. Senate's passing of the so-called Hong Kong Human Rights and Democracy Act, which they said will only worsen the situation in the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region (HKSAR). The analysts, interviewed by China Central Television, opposed the passing of an act which grossly interferes in China's internal affairs under the pretext of "democracy."
