Sinisa Mihajlovic, who is renowned for scoring a sensational hat-trick of free-kicks in a Serie A match in 1998, has been discharged from Sant'Orsola hospital on Wednesday after a third round of chemotherapy for leukemia.
Mihajlovic's wife Arianna confirmed the news on Wednesday on her Instagram, adding "More beautiful thing is not there. Back Home."
The 50-year-old Serbian star took over as Bologna coach last January but has been forced to retreat to sidelines after being diagnosed with leukemia in early July.
The whole Bologna squad has stood firmly behind their stricken coach, however, and kept in touch with him during his treatment.

Bologna also released a statement later in the day, announcing Mihajlovic's return to his job.
"Discharged from the Sant'Orsola Hospital this morning," read the statement.
"Tomorrow Sinisa Mihajlovic will be present at the Niccolò Galli training ground for the training session of the team, which will take place behind closed doors three days before BFCParma."
