A daring red squirrel risks plunging headlong into a pond as he tries to retrieve a nut he dropped. The rare rodent had to make three attempts before he was able to stretch out and grab the brown nut which was floating on the surface.

Eventually he was able to seize it in his mouth and return to the safety of the bank.
