China's Yan Wengang claimed the gold medal in the Male Skeleton sports during the 2019-2020 International Bobsleigh and Skeleton Federation North American Cup held on November 22 in Lake Placid, U.S.

It is the first stop in the new season for the China male skeleton team.

Yan had a smooth race with a fast start during the first round.

He kept up with the performance in the second round and delivered a flawless race despite a slowdown in the last curve.

China's Geng Wenqiang also took a gold medal in the Male Skeleton two days ago at Lake Placid.
