More than 20 representatives of political parties in Columbia visited Jingdezhen in east China's Jiangxi Province on Friday. Jingdezhen, hailed as "the capital of ceramics in China", has a history of more than 1,000 years. They discovered how some elderly artisans create ceramics in Guyao, meaning "ancient kilns," a Qing-dynasty (1644-1911) workshop still in operation today. A porcelain music band put on a performance for foreign guests, playing some world-known classics as well as popular Chinese tunes. They also toured the China Ceramics Museum in Jingdezhen. The beautiful porcelain on display have won the hearts of many.
