China continues to condemn western forces interfering in the Hong Kong protests. China says it "strongly condemns and resolutely opposes" the passing of the Hong Kong Human Rights and Democracy Act in the U.S. senate this month, which has been sent to President Donald Trump for his signature. Foreign Ministry spokesperson Geng Shuang says this act "disregards the facts, confuses right and wrong, violates common sense of  justice, shows double standards and openly intervenes in China's internal affairs."
